Adding a Testimonial

Adding a Review is as simple as creating a new Post

Posts are like pages in terms of how you edit them, but for the website, posts are flexible items.

A post can have its own page and a post can also be clipped to a shorter version and shown within a page. Sounds baffling, but look at the Testimonials page to see. Each Testimonial is a page and the website stacks them all together in one place.

HOW TO ADD A NEW REVIEW TO THE REVIEW PAGE

Step 1: Click on Posts  in the Admin Menu and select Add New

Step 2: Give the new Post Title.

Titles are what show beneath the Review, identifying who has written the Review.

For example: Mrs Brown, Ruislip

Step 3: Add the review content.

Step 4 (Before you hit publish): The final steps are to select Quote from the format list. This tells the website that this new post is supposed to Look LikeReview

And under Categories, select TestimonialsThis tells the website that this new post is a testimonial, and that it should behave like one and show up under the Reviews page.

HOW TO ADD A NEW REVIEW TO THE HOMEPAGE

The animated Review block on the homepage is handled separately from the Review page.

To add a testimonial here, click on the Testimonials button in the Admin Menu

Step 1: To edit a review, click on the existing review and edit the content. This is similar procedure to editing the reviews on the Review page. Where Title is the content that shows below the wording.

Step 2: To add a new Review, click on New Testimonial in the sidebar. You’ll then be brought to a page where you can Add a title and written content.
